Annual Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for a Clinical setting

We will show you how to assess and effectively manage an unresponsive patient, how to confirm cardiac arrest and the correct techniques for cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Candidates are able to complete both adult and paediatric assessments during this session.

Anaphylaxis guidelines and use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) also covered.

Duration: 90 minutes

Course Content Outline

Interactive and practical BLS training to include:

  • Overview of the ABCDE approach
  • Baby, child and adult choking
  • Baby, child and adult CPR
  • Safe and effective use of an AED
  • Anaphylaxis care guidelines
